Described here (in The Grauniad, of course), and in more detail on the company’s own website. Sounds good to me, though I can’t help wondering (a) whether it really doesn’t affect your insurance and (b) what the liability position looks like if someone has an accident while driving your car – especially if it’s as a result of a defect that you didn’t disclose. Can all this really be sorted? If so this is brilliant; if not then it’s a disaster on wheels waiting to happen.
